Measuring the impact of the Reconciliation Action Plan program

Reconciliation Australia would value your feedback on our discussion paper, From good intentions into action that works: measuring the contribution of reconciliation actions in closing the gap. The paper canvasses ideas on how to measure the impact of actions undertaken through our Reconciliation Action Plan program so that we can meaningfully inform stakeholders on their contribution towards closing the gaps between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders and other Australians.

We are seeking input from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and organisations, specialists in monitoring and evaluating community development programs, the RAP community of 334 organisations and other stakeholders on ways we can and should measure impact and share learnings.

The consultation period ends on the 26th February 2010 and we invite submissions, comments and advice on the items raised in the discussion paper and any other relevant input. Please address your response to Adam Mooney, Director – Reconciliation Action Plans, Reconciliation Australia at adam.mooney@reconciliation.org.au or phone 03 9229 9766.

Many thanks in advance for your time and effort in helping us to get this important project right.

You can download the paper here.

Regards,

The Reconciliation Action Plan Team
